Debasmita graduated from the University of Calcutta with a Bachelor of Arts in English and earned a Master's Degree in the same from Rabindra Bharati University. Her passion for teaching led to her addition of Bachelor of Education degree to her folio & obtained her teaching credentials. Debasmita hopes to impart education to every student as she thinks language learning can be engaging & culturally relevant to their lives. Debasmita came to teaching English after years of experience as a tutor & a school teacher.
Debasmita got special accolade from her school for being the highest scorer in English in the higher secondary exam. She received scholarship under the Central sector scheme of scholarship for college & University students for excellent marks in Arts group in higher secondary examination.
Besides academic, Debasmita has grown up with a cultural mindset. She got position in State Level recitation competition organised by the All Bengal Teachers' Association (ABTA). Later she received the title "Vaswaar" for her recitation skill. She is
an active theatre artist in the theatre group Balurghat Nattyakormi and also a professional stage & show anchor. She utilises her leisurely time in singing, script writing for conceptualized recitation,song or dance programs and studying various techniques of teaching in more useful way.
